THE WEEKLY LOUDMOUTH

PRIVACY POLICY

THE SHORT VERSION

The Loudmouth is intended to be a simple publication site, not a surveillance operation. The site does not intentionally ask visitors to create accounts, submit profiles or provide personal information merely to read its pages.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE

If you voluntarily contact the publisher through an email address or another communication method linked from the site, the information you send may be retained as necessary to read and respond to the message, maintain correspondence, protect the site or meet legal obligations. Do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The site is hosted using GitHub Pages and related Internet infrastructure. Like most web hosting services, those providers may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP addresses, browser or device information, requested URLs, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs. That processing is controlled in part by the applicable service providers and their own privacy practices.

The Loudmouth does not currently operate its own advertising network, behavioral profiling system or visitor-account database. If analytics, embedded media, comments, forms or other third-party services are added later, this policy should be updated to describe them.

COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

The Loudmouth does not intentionally set first-party advertising or tracking cookies. Third-party services reached through links or embedded content may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

EXTERNAL LINKS

This site may link to websites operated by other people or organizations. Following one of those links takes you outside The Loudmouth. Their privacy and data practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

HISTORICAL MATERIAL AND REDACTIONS

The site republishes and reconstructs historical Loudmouth material. Some surviving copies contain names or identifying information that were previously obscured. Where a historical source has already redacted a person's identity, the online reconstruction may preserve that redaction rather than attempting to identify the person.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The site is not designed to collect personal information from children. Visitors should not submit personal information about minors through the site.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

This policy may change when the site's technology or publishing practices change. The revision date above will be updated when substantive changes are made.

CONTACT

Questions or privacy concerns may be directed to the publisher through the contact information associated with The Loudmouth or its publisher's primary website.
